I’m Andi. I grew up in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, studied at ITS Surabaya, and now live in Singapore.
I work at MongoDB as a Partner Solutions Architect for Southeast Asia. Most of my week is spent with partners and their customers: running demos, building proofs of concept, answering the hard architecture questions, and helping partner teams get good at MongoDB so they can do the same without me.
Before this I spent a few years at New Relic on the observability side, and before that a long stretch as a system integrator in banking, building core banking, CRM and ESB integrations on Java, Go and AS/400. I still think like an integrator. I like to see the whole system, not just the database in the middle of it.
This site is where I write up what I’m working on: MongoDB, observability, and the odd side project that got out of hand. When I’m not at a keyboard I’m usually running.
